We’d like you to meet our RKH Ambassadors! From helping us to support local causes to setting up superb social events, our ambassadors are vital in making life even better here at RKH, and ensuring we give something back to good causes.

We introduced the Ambassador role to provide new ways of adding to life at RKH and ensuring we can make even more of a positive difference to the community outside of our agency. At the moment, we have five different ambassadors across four ‘sectors’, with each of them taking on an important responsibility. So, let’s find out who they are and what they do.

Lucia Sargeant - Education Ambassador

Lucia’s job is to connect with the next generation of creatives through outreach to local schools and colleges. By speaking to students, either on her own or accompanied by other RKHers, Lucia is giving young people in the East Midlands insight into agency life to inspire them to consider a career in the creative industry.

When I left University, I got a huge reality check and I realised that it was going to be hard to get a job. I realised that this was because I didn’t understand the different job roles, the titles and what they entail. I wanted to take on this role in the hope that we can educate young people on who we are as a creative agency, the type of jobs we do and the typical traits we might have. If I can make one person feel a little less daunted by it all than I was, I feel like I would have done a good job with a great team around me!”

Pally Sahota - Environmental Ambassador

As Environmental Ambassador, Pally will be the driving force behind our strategy, policies and initiatives, on our journey to reduce our environmental impact. From setting goals for the entire agency to identifying the best practice and leading initiatives to drive change, Pally will be key in ensuring we do our bit for the planet, one step at a time.

I was thrilled when I was appointed in the role of Sustainability Ambassador because I’m passionate about fostering a greener future. I believe that even small changes can make a big impact, and I’m excited to work with everyone to identify and implement sustainable practices in our daily work lives. I’m particularly looking forward to collaborating on initiatives that reduce our environmental footprint and raise awareness about the importance of sustainability. I’m confident that together, we can make a real difference and create a more sustainable workplace for all.

Sophie Ion - Charity Ambassador

Giving back to our community is one of core values, and Sophie is in charge of helping us do that in the most effective ways. She’s up new charity partnerships, finding ways for RKHers to get involved in volunteering, and organising fundraising events to ensure we’re supporting causes close to our heart and heartland.

I wanted to be our charity ambassador as my role prior to RKH was at a national charity (The Fire Fighters Charity) so I felt I had transferable knowledge/skills, and as someone who works in comms and whose role focuses on ensuring we send timely/informative responses to help support enquirers, I like to help people.

As a born and bred Leicester girl I have a keen interest in supporting charitable needs in our region. I'm excited to meet with our new charity of the year, Leicester Animal Aid, to see how we can best support them, and look for new and exciting/interesting ways for everyone to use their volunteering day.

Beckie & Selina - Social Ambassadors

Social connection has always been a huge part of our DNA; it’s even more important now we’re a fully remote agency. We have developed an eco-system of connection events, which happen throughout the year, to unsure in our new remote world, everyone is getting as much face time as they need

The highlights are our summer and winter parties, but there’s always something happening, in fact so much that we need a team of two to handle it and we’re so thankful for Selina and Beckie, who organise our social calendar and keep the pipeline filled.

Here’s why they do it:

One of the main reasons RKH stand out from other agencies is down to the people; we are outgoing, social beings that work extremely hard, but also like to play hard too. Being a fully remote agency makes social events even more important for us, so being asked to be part of the Social Ambassador Team was an easy yes. Not only are our social events fun and varied, they are also needed for team building and more importantly good mental health.

Beckie Mulryan - Social Ambassadors

The opportunity to be a social ambassador and therefore host a party where Ferrero Rocher are handed out so people could say “Ambassador, you’re spoiling us” to me was too strong to pass up. That and one of the greatest joys in my life is putting together events for people to simply have a good time. And with remote working, those events are even more important for us to have the chance to catch up and hang out.

Selina Conroy - Social Ambassadors

Looking forward, we’re really excited to see how we can build the social value RKH provides, both for our agency as a whole and for the community around us. From fundraising to college visits, environmental initiatives to big nights out, our ambassadors play a vital role in the future of RKH, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
