As master developers and project consultants responsible for major projects around the UK, Brookbanks needed a range of services from us to help better demonstrate the two main functions of their business, including discovery and strategy, branding, a new website, and a new brand voice.
The Challenge
Brookbanks’ business is split into two arms: a project consultancy side and a master developer side. They operated these services as part-consultant and part-client, and their combined offering offers end-to-end lifecycle support and delivery for major development and infrastructure projects around the UK.
Brookbanks approached us to create relevant brand positioning for the whole business. They wanted us to connect the dots between their master developer and project consultancy offerings and provide a clear, cohesive picture of their entire business, rather than a business split into two parts.
The Solution
Starting as we always do, with thorough research and strategic thinking, we carried out a discovery phase to identify their current brand positioning and customer perceptions. We carried out interviews and workshops to gather customer opinions and attitudes and desk research to understand the industry landscape. We also undertook a holistic review of their website in order to understand pain points, future needs, and drivers.
All of this work yielded data that would underpin the entire project; it told us all we needed to know about the brand’s positioning, vision, ambition, and proposition, as well as the customer journey. With this information, we knew how their new website needed to be optimised.
The Outcome
The strategic development was complemented by end user research, audits of the current website’s content, design and technical elements, and their search engine optimisation (SEO). By applying this approach to discovering the needs of the end user and the business, we were fully prepared.
Thanks to all our research, we were able to create a lightweight, attractive and agile website from the ground up, built in an easy-to-use CMS to allow the client to update the content as and when they needed to.
